March 23 will be the first birthday of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Benefiting from this act are my two sons who attend Ole Miss and will have our Cigna health care to cover them until they're 26 or their jobs cover them. (My oldest is working full-time but is not offered health care by his employer.)

My husband has lupus and for 18 years worried about the lifetime limits of our health insurance running out, which could cause us to lose our home if his illness worsened; that fear was removed along with pre-existing condition limitations.

Thank you, President Barack Obama, for a gift of health care that all Americans can use.
