Authorities are asking the public to help them identify two women they say went on a shopping spree with a stolen credit card in southeast Harris County earlier this month.

The card was allegedly stolen from a woman shopping at a Hobby Lobby store in League City on Sept. 1. She told authorities that she turned away from her basket for a minute and her wallet was stolen from her purse.

Shortly afterwards, the woman’s card was used at a Sports Authority in Webster to purchase over $1,000 in gift cards and then again to purchase over $600 in gift cards from a Bed, Bath and Beyond next door to the Sports Authority.

Later the same day, one of the women went shopping at the Meyerland Bed, Bath, and Beyond store with the gift cards purchased with the stolen credit card.

The suspects were captured on surveillance cameras

Crime Stoppers said it will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in that leads to the pair’s identification, charging or arrest.
